Project
New York City’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is developing a comprehensive strategy to leverage emerging technologies for improving water, stormwater management, and pollution control services for over 9 million residents. The five-year roadmap will focus on integrating generative AI, predictive analytics, and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service. This modernization effort aims to create more reliable environmental services, particularly for underserved communities that are disproportionately affected by service disruptions, poor water quality, and flooding risks that are intensifying with climate change.
