CASSWELL GOODMAN (2017-18) is the CEO and founder of Exceptional Quality Professional Development (EQPD), a workforce development consulting firm based in Los Angeles. With more than 20 years of experience in the social service and education sectors, Casswell has established a dynamic organization that utilizes cutting-edge training and trauma-informed strategies to engage and empower prospective employees. EQPD also provides professional development for staff members who work directly with at-risk youth, formerly incarcerated individuals, and homeless clients. Casswell earned a B.A. in sociology from the University of Louisville and an M.S. in humanities and social sciences from Nova Southeastern University.

Project

In Los Angeles County, more than 500,000 people will be looking to re-enter the workforce thanks to a recent law that reduced certain drug and property crimes from felonies to misdemeanors. Casswell developed a coordinated strategy and process for delivery of services specifically to the re-entry population to reduce the likelihood of recidivism, and helped those with high barriers to employment gain and sustain employment.
