Project
Albuquerque is implementing a comprehensive strategy to close the generational wealth gap by supporting the launch of two new offices—an Office of Financial Empowerment and an Office of Asian Affairs—and expanding a guaranteed income initiative from pilot to full program. This initiative leverages revenue from the Albuquerque Marijuana Equity and Reinvestment Fund to provide direct financial support to families in communities negatively affected by marijuana criminalization. By combining these efforts with targeted engagement of historically underrepresented communities, Albuquerque aims to create more economic opportunities for residents from all backgrounds.
