JESSICA L. HERBERT has deep cross-sectoral experience building and executing collaborative and strategic programs in community revitalization, public safety, cyber security, and criminal justice. She is the founder of the process advisory firm IDEA Analytics, which uses data-driven approaches and technology to provide clients with customized pathways to achieving strategic objectives. She holds an M.A. in global securities studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in criminology and criminal justice from Arizona State University.

Project

The Juvenile Services Division (JSD) of the Los Angeles County Probation Department is working to support the well-being, safety, and development of justice-involved youths, whether they are in probation facilities or the community. FUSE executive fellow Jessica Herbert helped develop JSD’s mission statement and guiding principles. She then led project teams through strategic planning to ensure that youth engagement aligns with JSD’s mission to support youths and their families. Read more
