MARILYN D. VARNADO (2017-18) has 20 years of experience in organizational leadership and large transformation projects at companies like Oracle BEA Systems, Hyperion, and Quantum Corporations. Over the course of her career, she has earned 14 certifications, including Six Sigma Black Belt, Prosci Change Management, Project Management Professional, and Stanford Advanced Project Management Organizational Mastery. She has also taught Computer Information System courses in the Peralta Community College District, where she became CIS Chair and a critical contributor in developing the first Cyber Security Systems AA degree in the U.S., along with an inner-city high school/college introduction to CIS program. Marilyn earned a BA in Sociology and an MPA in Information Systems from San Francisco State University.
Project
San Francisco is working to improve its emergency response time to protect the city’s most vulnerable residents. Marilyn created a strategic plan to improve the department’s 911 emergency response performance. Read more
