Project
Kansas City is addressing housing disparities through a strategic initiative to transform Land Bank-owned properties into affordable homes in targeted neighborhoods. The project will tackle the city’s high vacancy rates and declining Black homeownership by redeveloping vacant properties and creating pathways to homeownership for historically underserved communities. Through this initiative, Kansas City aims to foster intergenerational wealth creation, reduce blight, enhance public safety, and increase property tax revenues while supporting broader community revitalization goals.
