Michael Saunders

2022-2023 | City of San Jose - Office of the Vice Mayor

Ensuring Equitable Access to Career Development through the West San Jose Innovation Zone

MICHAEL SAUNDERS combines experience in the for-profit, nonprofit and governmental sectors. Most recently he has extended the principles of the Social Progress Index to map the relative health of census tracts in counties across the U.S. He has worked for IBM, Reuters Information Services, Price Waterhouse Coopers and ran a human services info service nonprofit, HandsNet. Michael has a A.B. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford GSB.

Project

The City of San Jose is collaborating with community stakeholders to implement an Innovation Zone. In order to ensure that the Innovation Zone supports improved opportunities and outcomes for San Jose residents, especially those in San Jose’s West Valley area, San Jose will partner with FUSE to help maximize career training and development opportunities for residents.
