NORVELL THOMAS is an accomplished operations and management consultant with global experience in North America and Asia. He has worked as an entrepreneur, consultant, educator, and published author in an array of industries, including healthcare, government, education, and startup enterprises. Most recently, he was a senior managing consultant at Guidehouse, as well as a senior lecturer at Cal State LA. He holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Claremont Graduate University, where he is also earning a Ph.D. in political science. His primary areas of research include the role of women in government in African nations and how to sustain peace and stability through proper education and good governance.
Project
The Los Angeles County Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services wants to decrease the amount of time that staff spends on administrative tasks. To do this, WDACS is partnering with FUSE Executive Fellow Norvell Thomas to analyze its workflows, determine critical tasks, and streamline operations, freeing staff to spend more time helping clients.
