PRIYA DEY-SARKAR (2017-18) has 15 years of experience as an integrity, reliability, and major projects engineer in the oil and gas industry. She uses a combination of technical design, financial and business evaluation skills, and regulatory experience to bring long-term, balanced solutions to unusual and complex projects. Over the course of her career, Priya has worked for ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, and Xelio. Most recently, she worked as an asset manager in the solar and renewables industry, managing a 220-megawatt portfolio. She earned a B.S. in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Project
New Orleans is working to reduce its carbon footprint by finding efficient and cost-effective ways to reduce its energy load, starting with its Sewerage and Water Board, which is one of the largest consumers of energy in the region. FUSE Executive Fellow Priya Dey-Sarkar helped the city identify opportunities for improvement and develop business plans for new strategic initiatives. Read more
