Rita Mobeka

RITA MOBEKA is a project management professional with over 25 years of information technology experience in both the commercial and defense sectors. Mobeka spent the past five years as an Executive Senior Manager and General Manager at L3Harris, an Aerospace and Defense company, where she had P&L responsibility for the site and developed strategic plans spearheading technology initiatives for the radar and reconnaissance business units. Mobeka has notable success delivering full system functionality and driving excellent team execution while providing technical expertise in requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and deployment solutions that support Customer-focused business objectives. Mobeka has extensive knowledge of managing projects and supervising/mentoring project managers through the entire lifecycle, achieving results in demanding environments. Mobeka has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a B.S. from MIT.
Project
LA Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) serves 4 million Angelenos but faces equity challenges, particularly in career advancement and telework opportunities for field staff. Partnering with FUSE, LASAN aims to enhance employee engagement and equity through a ten-year plan developed by a FUSE Executive Fellow. This initiative seeks to improve job satisfaction and retention, benefiting all residents by ensuring motivated and well-supported staff.
