    Health

    Expanding access to affordable health care and mental health resources to improve key indicators of community health.

    Justice

    Enhancing public safety and reform of criminal justice by changing policing, 911 dispatching, bail, sentencing, probation, reentry.

    Education

    Improving options for childcare, early education, STEM, out-of-school-time, and post-secondary enrollment and affordability.

    Climate

    Building new infrastructure, disaster resilience, renewable energy, green economy jobs, and plans to reduce emissions.

    Housing

    Addressing issues of homelessness, housing insecurity, gentrification, and the need to preserve and build more affordable housing.

    Increasing the number of living-wage jobs and preparing for the future of work through expanded job training.

Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office

Supporting LA County’s Transformation into an Actively Anti-Racist Institution

TENITA BALLARD is an experienced leader who blends corporate and entrepreneurial know-how, boasting 18+ years advising top executives on HR strategy, risk management, and more at companies like AT&T, DIRECTV, and Coca Cola. At Intel, TeNita served as a Global HR D&I Partner, where she was responsible for guiding the development and implementation of D&I initiatives across the organization. TeNita holds an MBA in Business Administration and BA in Psychology. She’s a member of LAAAWPPI and a USC Adjunct Professor.

Project

The Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office (CEO) first partnered with FUSE to support the building out a strategic plan for the County’s Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Equity Initiative, guiding, governing, and driving the County’s commitment to fighting systemic racism, working proactively to change policies and practices over which the County has control. LA County will now partner with FUSE to lead a training and education initiative across the County, supporting the adoption of and capacity building for this work.
