Project
Phoenix is implementing an ambitious program to expand clean energy access for over 11,000 low and middle-income households while addressing energy disparities in vulnerable communities. Leveraging a $156 million U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant in partnership with the Arizona Office of Resiliency, this initiative will provide rooftop solar installations, whole-home energy upgrades, and energy bill credits to residents, with costs almost entirely covered for the lowest income participants. FUSE Executive Fellow TrixieAnn Golberg will build strategic partnerships, develop community engagement strategies, and streamline application processes to ensure equitable program implementation, ultimately advancing energy equity, lowering costs, and creating more resilient communities in one of America’s most solar-friendly cities.
