Christine’s fellowship focused on scaling The Children’s Movement of Californian a sustainable manner. Christine began the practice of capturing social media metrics monthly and providing a report of the results. She assumed the day-to-day management of the Children Now social media accounts, as well as trained other staff members on using social media tools via webinars, how-to documents, and one-on-one support. Christine created strategies to help track interactions with prospective members, record follow-up, and use conversion metrics to determine which outreach efforts are the most effective. She created and analyzed the the first Children Now member survey and based on this work she suggested fifteen critical organizational next steps, including near-term and long-term projects.
CHRISTINE GUARDIA (2013-14) came to FUSE with over 16 years of cross-sector collaboration experience as a consultant to federal, state, and local governments. Christine worked with clients such as the Library of Congress, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of New York along with nonprofit organizations focused on early childhood education and summer academic programs. After her fellowship, Christine continued her work with Children Now for an additional year before returning to her work as a change management and training consultant across sectors. Most recently, Christine has worked as a Change Management Consultant for RGP, working with clients in the greater Los Angeles area. Christine has a BA in Policy Studies and Public Relations from Syracuse University, a MPA in State and Local Government from the Syracuse Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and an MBA from Boston University with a focus on Public and Nonprofit Management and Marketing.
