Boston and FUSE are coordinating citywide efforts to ensure that every child can learn, play, and thrive in connected neighborhoods that support families.
Families in Boston want schools, housing, parks, and health services to collaborate in ways that are easily accessible and responsive to community needs. The Mayor’s Office of Early Childhood is bringing partners into closer alignment so that support for children and caregivers is coordinated across neighborhoods. This includes expanding opportunities for exploration and learning, lifting up community-led efforts, and preparing for climate impacts that affect children’s health and wellbeing.
In collaboration with FUSE, the City will strengthen the Boston Children’s Council and advance signature initiatives that connect families with high-quality programs and services. FUSE Executive Fellow Priyankur Roy will coordinate cross-department efforts, develop tools that make services easier to navigate, and help scale models that work in partnership with communities. This work will ensure that every neighborhood is a place where children and caregivers are supported, creating a citywide foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.
