Tim worked with the San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) to implement new technologies and programs aimed at closing gaps in the digital divide. During his tenure, the library was able to launch The Mix at SFPL, a digital media lab and makerspace for Bay Area Teens, and a Career Online High School, a fully online high school diploma platform for adult learners. With these programs, the San Francisco Public Library is delivering on its goal to ensure all members of the public have access to 21st century technology.
TIM LUCAS (2014-15) came to FUSE in 2014 from AllianceBernstein (AB), a leading investment management firm. At AllianceBernstein Tim applied lean six-sigma strategies to discover opportunities for process improvements and eliminating wasteful spending. Tim gained extensive experience in change management and enterprise project management, leading multiple efforts to help solidify the firm's position as a leader in innovative product offerings. While at AB, Tim also chaired the firm's Corporate Social Responsibility Group and volunteered with Citizen Schools to teach personal finance techniques to students at a Bronx middle school. After the completion of his fellowship, Tim worked as a Social Impact Manager with LendUp and currently resides in New Orleans, LA. Tim holds a BBA from the George Washington University.
