Danielle Elkins

DANIELLE ELKINS has worked with local government leaders on infrastructure issues for more than a decade, specializing in local and state transportation policy. In 2017, Danielle founded Civic Ideation, which helps cities implement new transportation technologies more quickly and efficiently. Danielle also co-founded and ran Advance Atlanta, a nonprofit advocacy organization that successfully increased transit funding in the metro Atlanta region. Prior to that role, she was the youngest-ever director of government affairs for the global engineering company CH2M, coordinating all stakeholder and government engagement efforts for the company’s most complex programs and projects. Danielle earned a B.S. from USC in civil engineering.
Project
The Minneapolis Department of Public Works is preparing for advances in mobility and working to ensure that all residents, especially those in traditionally underserved communities, will benefit. Through education, representation, and the development of five pilot projects, FUSE Executive Fellow Danielle Elkins helped establish the city as a leader in new mobility technology, laying the foundation for a modern transportation system in Minneapolis that better serves the mobility needs of all residents.
