KIA N. GAINES has 15 years of experience in technology and operations consulting in the healthcare industry, working for small and large firms, as well as for the State of California. Most recently, Kia was part of Cognizant Technology Solution’s growing healthcare consulting practice, where she delivered transformative technical and business process improvements for hospital, medical center, and health insurance company clients nationwide. Kia holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon Tepper and a B.S. from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Project

To improve residents’ access to healthcare services, Long Beach is working to streamline systems by creating an integrated data-management platform that works across departments.
