MARK AVNET (2016-17) is a management consultant and researcher whose work focuses on the influence of organizational culture and team dynamics on operational and safety performance. Most recently, he was an Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. Prior to that, Mark was a consultant with McKinsey & Company focusing on the design and implementation of operational improvement programs in the aerospace industry. Mark holds a B.S. in Physics from MIT, an MA in Science, Technology, and Public Policy from The George Washington University, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from MIT.
