Los Angeles County, home to 9.7 million residents across 88 cities and diverse communities, is working to improve the coordination and delivery of services with a focus on equity and inclusion. Through the Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion (ARDI) Initiative and the newly established Prevention and Promotion Coordination and Implementation Team (PPCIT), the County aims to address critical issues such as housing instability, child welfare, and behavioral health by aligning services across departments and eliminating barriers to collaboration. The County is partnering with FUSE Executive Fellow Gary Campanella to develop sustainable processes that ensure seamless, equitable service delivery for all residents, particularly BIPOC and underserved communities.

Starting in October 2024, Campanella will build relationships with County officials, city partners, and community stakeholders to coordinate data, resources, and programs. Campanella will lead high-priority initiatives, including mapping resident service journeys, conducting policy and regulatory analysis, developing a centralized contracting plan, and identifying sustainable funding streams. By creating scalable and user-friendly coordination practices, this project will equip Los Angeles County to better manage complex, inter-departmental efforts, ensuring that prevention and promotion services are accessible, inclusive, and effective for years to come.
