Denver’s Public Works Department is seeking to bolster the city’s public transportation system in response to dramatic population growth over the last several years. To support this goal, FUSE Executive Fellow Chris Dishno developed a strategy to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the department and the state Regional Transportation District.

Chris created a detailed process map outlining the steps necessary to accelerate and complete transportation projects in Denver. This roadmap will serve as the foundation for an online dashboard that will track projects through their entire life cycle, from project definition and procurement to actual operations and ongoing monitoring. This new tool, along with the coordination of interagency meetings aimed at improving communication, is helping to accelerate transit projects in Denver.
